Upcoming survey – Direct services to students

Over the next few weeks, school staff in direct services to students will be invited to take part in a survey to identify practices related to the management of the working time.

The research team of the PartageS project at UQÀM wishes to join the following job classes:

• School Educator
• School Educator, principal class
• Day Care and School Educator Service Technician
• Student Supervisor
• Attendants for Handicapped Students
• Special Education Technician
• Social Work Technicians

Working conditions of SSDSS (job insecurity, schedule instability, low recognition) are understudied, despite their impact on health and well-being.

Four unions (FPSS-CSQ, FEESP-CSN, SEPB-Québec/FTQ and CPSS-SCFP) have partnered with the PartageS project team to evaluate working time practices and measure their effects on job satisfaction, well-being and engagement of school support staff. In short, this project aims to produce data based on YOUR experiences in order to improve YOUR working conditions!

Recruitment will begin over the next few weeks. More details on how to get involved will be sent to you by your union. Stay tuned!
