I-BEST 2026 – Together for the Health and Well-being of Education Staff

The I-BEST 2026 survey is an initiative of Education International (EI) aimed at better understanding the realities of education staff (support, teaching, and professional) and improving their well-being.

Conducted in 19 countries and territories across 4 continents, this survey is one of the few international tools specifically dedicated to health and working conditions in education.

Why this survey?

It pursues several key objectives:

  • To document the well-being of education staff in Quebec
  • To enable international comparisons
  • To analyze the evolution of working conditions and health over time

The questionnaire addresses critical issues such as working conditions, physical and mental health, violence, work-life balance, and access to resources and training.

Easy to participate with a real impact

Completing the survey takes only about 15 minutes, but the benefits are significant.

The data collected:

  • Directly supports Education International’s research and publications
  • Contributes to international advocacy for public policies focused on well-being
  • Helps to better position Quebec, the realities of education staff, and the CSQ in international comparisons

A strategic moment for the sector

This third edition is poised to mark a turning point in the recognition of health and well-being issues in the education sector. Strong participation will help amplify the voices of staff and guide future decisions.
