Q&A Budgetary Rules - School Daycare Services<\/h1>","couleur":""},{"acf_fc_layout":"folders","list":[{"title":"How much do we receive for each child registered in the daycare?","tag":"","date":null,"content":"You receive the amount paid by the parent, plus an additional amount from the MEQ (Ministry of Education).\r\n\r\n\"\"What parents are required to pay varies from one school to another, but it cannot exceed $9.70 on regular days and $16.55 on pedagogical days. Additional fees may apply for special activities.\r\n\r\nMEQ Funding<\/strong><\/span>\r\n\r\nMEQ contributions vary depending on whether the child attends the daycare regularly<\/strong>, from three (3) to five (5) days<\/strong> per week, or sporadically, <\/strong>from one (1) to two (2) days<\/strong> per week. The contributions also vary based on the size of the daycare. There is a specific contribution for the first 99 children. There is a different contribution for the 100th<\/sup> to 199th<\/sup> children, and yet another for the 200th<\/sup> and above.\r\n\r\nOn pedagogical days and during spring break, the amount is higher because the daycare's service hours are longer.\r\n\r\nThere is also an additional allowance for four-year-old preschoolers.\r\n\r\nThe table below shows the contributions for the current year (2025-2026), as well as those for the previous year. Indexation is indicated where applicable.
