\r\n\r\nNature of the work*<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in performing the functions of team leader for a group of data processing technicians or in carrying out highly specialized technical functions requiring knowledge and creativity superior to the qualifications normally required of a data processing technician.\r\n\r\nCharacteristic functions<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe employee in this class of employment works with the members of his or her team to carry out the characteristic functions of data processing technicians and carries out the most complicated work. He or she distributes the work among the members of his or her team and ensures that the work is carried out; at the request of his or her immediate superior, gives advice on the quality of the work completed; takes part in training his or her team members.\r\n\r\nThis class also includes employees who principally and customarily carry out highly specialized technical work of a complex nature1 and for which a sense of creativity2 and a freedom of action3 are required of these employees.\r\n\r\nIf need be, he or she performs any other related duty.\r\n\r\nRequired qualifications<\/strong>\r\n\r\nSchooling and experience<\/span>\r\n\r\nHold a Diploma of College Studies in Computer Science Technology or in Computer Science Technology in an appropriate specialty for the class of employment or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority, and have four (4) years of pertinent experience.\r\n\r\n
\r\n\r\n1 Complexity of work <\/strong>\r\n\r\nThis refers to:\r\n\r\na) work requiring specific knowledge in addition to that usually required of the data processing technician;\r\nb) work considered unique, essential and a determining factor in the implementation of the activity program in its entirety;\r\nc) work which, due to its complexity, makes such employees the most immediate collaborators of professionals and management.\r\n\r\n2 Creativity<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThis refers to:\r\n\r\na) work which requires new work methods and the adaptation of technical procedures;\r\nb) work which requires a choice from among possible lines of conduct.\r\n\r\n3 Freedom of action<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThis refers to:\r\n\r\na) work performed under the supervision of an experienced professional: the employee who carries out the work cannot be under the responsibility of another data processing technician, principal class;\r\nb) work defined according to priorities and objectives and performed with a wide range of latitude.\r\n\r\n
