In general, he or she performs his or her duties under the supervision and according to the instructions of a maintenance workman of a higher class, a caretaker or a foreman.\r\n\r\nCharacteristic functions<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe employee in this class of employment dusts, cleans, washes and waxes the furniture and the woodwork; he or she vacuums the carpeting, sweeps the floors, places light furniture, empties and cleans waste baskets and ashtrays as well as washes windows, venetian blinds and blackboards.\r\n\r\nIn a laundry room, he or she may be assigned duties, such as the care and preparation of linen.\r\n\r\nIf need be, he or she performs any other related duty.\r\n\r\nRequired qualifications<\/strong>\r\n\r\nNo specific qualifications are required.\r\n\r\n
