Thereafter, it is 15%<\/strong> until the day before the renewal of collective agreements.\r\n\r\nNature of the work*<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in performing repair and maintenance work on heavy vehicles and machinery in the shop, on the job site or on the road.\r\n\r\nCharacteristic functions<\/strong>\r\n\r\nThe employee in this class of employment performs various repair work on motor vehicles, equipment and heavy machinery with internal combustion engines and on the master components; he or she dismantles, repairs and reassembles engines and master components, such as the transmission, differential, power steering, fuel pump and electric or hydraulic systems. He or she adjusts and calibrates injectors and engines.\r\n\r\nHe or she performs periodic preventive maintenance in order to detect any vehicle or machinery malfunction.\r\n\r\nAs part of his or her duties, the employee may perform welding, metal cutting or forging work.\r\n\r\nHe or she orders parts, accessories and products which he or she needs and for which he or she keeps an inventory.\r\n\r\nOn occasion, he or she may be required to coordinate the work of less experienced or nonspecialized workmen.\r\n\r\nIf need be, he or she performs any other related duty.\r\n\r\nRequired qualifications<\/strong>\r\n\r\nSchooling or qualification certificate<\/span>\r\n\r\nHold a Diploma of Vocational Studies in Heavy Road Vehicle Mechanics or in any other appropriate specialty for the class of employment or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.\r\nor\r\nHold an equivalent valid qualification certificate for the class of employment issued by a recognized body.\r\n\r\nExperience<\/span>\r\n\r\nHave four (4) years of pertinent experience.\r\n\r\nOther requirements<\/span>\r\n\r\nHold a driver's licence of the class appropriate for the class of employment.\r\n\r\n
