The demands of the education sector are clear, urgent, and unavoidable.\r\n\r\n\"The hiring freeze must be lifted immediately. Schools need staff to adequately meet students' needs. The shortage of school support staff has significant impacts on violence prevention in our schools. It is imperative to reinvest in the renovation of existing schools and the construction of new ones.\" \u201cWe need to reinvest in education, we need to stop micromanaging and trust the teams on the ground, and the legislation being proposed must be suspended immediately,\u201d continued \u00c9ric Pronovost.\r\n\r\nThe FPSS-CSQ believes that education can no longer be relegated to the back burner.
