It will take place virtually on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.\r\n\r\nThe objective of this training is to familiarize you with the Quebec Parental Insurance Plan (QPIP) and to fully understand the rights and obligations related to parental leave under your collective agreement. This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about this topic and ask any questions you may have. It will be given by M\u00e9lanie Michaud, Social Security Advisor at the CSQ.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Subject: QPIP Training<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Date: Tuesday, April 15, 2025<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Time: 7:00 PM<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Location: ZOOM link to come<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Registration of participants<\/strong>\r\n<h2>This event is over<\/h2>\r\n<strong>Did you know that...<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>The links and interactions between your collective agreement and the QPIP are sometimes complex?<\/li>\r\n \t<li>In some cases, preventive withdrawals or closely spaced pregnancies can affect your QPIP benefits.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>A drop in your employment income during a period of unemployment or job insecurity in general can also have adverse effects on your benefits. Can your CSQ union advise you on ways to mitigate or eliminate these negative effects (for example, sections 31.1 or 31.2 of the QPIP or the early start of a benefit period)?<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Does your collective agreement (like the Act respecting labour standards) allow a father to take up to three separate periods of leave in the year following the birth of his child?<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Guides<\/strong>\r\n\r\nCSQ Guide to Parental Rights and the QPIP (2016-2020).
