The Fédération du personnel de soutien scolaire (FPSS-CSQ) is beginning its Congress to lay the foundations on which the actions of our labour organization will rest for the next three years. We will discuss and decide on orientations to advance the values we hold, to carry out the struggles required to improve the working conditions of our members, and to defend our fellow citizens’ right to have access to a system of quality public education.
With the theme “Our federation relies on my involvement”, we are reminded of the importance of militancy and union involvement. The federation exists to represent you in dealings with various education stakeholders. Whether we are dealing with the government, employers’ organizations, or interest groups, we are always seeking acknowledgement of your importance from them and in the public square. We support the collective when we get involved as individuals, and the collective is essential to school support staff getting recognition of their true value.
